Phone & AI receptionist
AI has to be told the tone, so if you have an idea for a new tone, let us know!
Have a fun phrase in mind? Send it, and we will look at it.
It uses the standard voice. You can give it your own voice, or the voice of someone who agrees to it.
We use it only on your own salon's calls, it still tells callers it's an AI receptionist and that calls are recorded, and you can delete it anytime.
Read the Voice terms
Voice. You may have the Receptionist speak in a real person's voice on your calls, and choose the first name it uses to introduce itself. (a) Whose voice. The voice must be either your own, recorded by you, or the voice of a person who signed Beauty'd's Authorized Voice Use form and recorded their own voice through the link we sent them. You may not record, upload or imitate anyone else's voice in any other way. (b) Your promise about someone else's voice. When you send the form's link, you promise that the person agreed to it, and that the person who signs and records is the person you named. Beauty'd does not contact the person and does not check identities beyond giving you the link to send. If the form is signed or recorded by someone other than the person named, or without their real agreement, that is your responsibility, and §6 of the Terms of Service (Indemnification) applies. (c) How it is used. Beauty'd and its voice provider (currently Telnyx, which uses Cartesia, both in the US) make a voice model from the recording. Beauty'd uses it only to answer calls to your own salon through the Receptionist: not for any other salon, not for advertising, not to train anything, and never sold. Our voice provider may also use what it processes to improve its own services, under its data-protection terms. (d) It still says it's an AI. In any voice, the Receptionist tells every caller, at the start of every call, that the call is recorded and that it is an AI receptionist. This cannot be turned off. (e) The name and greeting. The Receptionist introduces itself by a first name you choose, which may be your own, and always says it is the AI receptionist in the same sentence it gives its name. The greeting's phrase comes from Beauty'd's approved list. (f) Deleting it. You can delete the voice at any time in Settings › Phone & AI receptionist, and the person whose voice it is can withdraw at any time through the withdraw link they get when they sign, or through Beauty'd's contact page. Either way, the Receptionist switches back to a standard voice right away. Within 30 days we delete our copy of the recording and the voice model, and have our voice provider delete the voice model. Copies of the recording that our voice provider or its providers processed are kept and deleted under their data-protection terms. We do the same within 30 days after you close your account, and after one year in which the voice answers no calls. We keep the consent record itself (the signed form or your ticked box, never the voice) for at least 3 years after we stop using the voice, because our voice provider requires it, and we may give our voice provider a copy. (g) Consent. Some states (for example Illinois, Texas and Washington) treat a voiceprint as biometric information. For your own voice, ticking the box is your written consent to the collection, use, storage and deletion described here. For anyone else's voice, their signed Authorized Voice Use form is their consent. (h) Your responsibility. Everything the Receptionist says in the voice is covered by "Responsibility for its mistakes." above.
Send them this link yourself. Nothing is recorded until they sign and record on their own phone, and they can withdraw anytime.

Send them this link yourself. It works once, for 7 days.
Read this aloud naturally, like you're talking to a client, somewhere quiet. It covers every sound of your voice. Take 15 to 30 seconds; reading it twice is fine.
Hi, thanks so much for calling, it’s a real pleasure to hear from you!
Are you looking for your usual visit, or would you like to try something new this time?
We have a quiet opening Thursday morning, and another one late on Saturday afternoon.
Just tell me which one you’d enjoy, and I’ll send you a short text with all the details right now.
Let your AI receptionist book appointments during the call
Today your AI receptionist can only text a booking link, and the customer finishes it themselves. With this on, it can find a time and book it while they are still on the phone.
What does swiping a call mean?
When your phone rings and you can't take the call, decline it: swipe it away, or tap Decline. Your phone then treats it as a busy call, and a busy call reaches your AI receptionist only if your phone forwards busy calls to (501) 501-9340.
Android: Phone app, then Settings, Calls, Call forwarding, When busy. Enter (501) 501-9340.
AT&T, T-Mobile, Cricket and most others: dial **67*15015019340#, then press call.
Verizon: the code on phone setup already sends busy calls too. Set up your phone, step by step
15 minutes are free during the free trial, and 150 minutes a month on a plan. After that, each minute costs 10¢. We need a card on file before the AI receptionist can answer.
Pick a planAcknowledge that this is an AI-driven booking process.
